Weait - Two Canadian Folk Tunes for wind nonet (6'00)

SKU: [7407]

Two Canadian Folk Tunes for wind nonet is an arrangement of two melodies found in "Come 'A Singing Canadian Folk Songs" by Marius Barbeau, et al (Ottawa: the King's Printer, 1947). "My Lonely heart" came from the singing on Mme. Bolduc, Quebec City, 1918; "the Jolly Raftsmen" is a French Canadian Ottawa River song. I later set "The Jolly Raftsman" for woodwind quintet [9513] and for twelve orchestral woodwinds as "Merry Raftsmen" [7905].
